Leading from who you actually are.

Leading people first in the British Army, then across the Further Education and Skills sector has taught me one thing above everything else: the most powerful thing you can do as a leader is get out of your own way and lead from who you actually are.

I hold a degree in Leadership and Management, a National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership, and a qualified Skills and Teaching qualification. But my real education has come from being in the room with people watching what happens when a leader stops trying to be what they think they should be and starts trusting what they already have.

My approach is simple, but it's not easy. I see the raw capability in every leader I work with, and I don't try to change them. I work to draw out what's already there. You have natural strengths — my job is to help you find them, trust them, and build everything from them.

I believe leaders have a genuine responsibility to create environments where people can thrive. That means being willing to challenge, not just guide. When I place leaders in environments outside of their normal experience, their mindset shifts, they begin to challenge their thoughts, and their resilience gets stretched. And the natural ability to lead rises to the surface. I don't just teach this — I live it. I hold myself to the same mission, vision, and direction I bring to every leader I work with.

I'm self-disciplined, motivated, and resilient and I bring those qualities into every conversation. I'll get into the inner workings of how you think and operate as a leader, and I'll challenge and support you in equal measure. The word I use is refine, not develop. You don't need to become someone else — you need to become more fully yourself. When your leadership is built on who you genuinely are, the impact is lasting, because it's sustainable.
